This is not a Political Statement

I am only saying I hope all are well. We find ourselves in a very weird place and some my be struggling during this tough time. We all have stories I am sure and we are all being effected one way or another.

Please do what you feel is right stay safe and take care. I am not trying to tell you who is right in all this and who is wrong just wanted you all to know I hope you are all safe and health as we wait for this to blow over.

I thought we were not suppose to be gathering in large groups, like 250 or more. And never mind the question of why the plumber is in charge of food. green happy

At any rate good luck.

My school is closed down now and I am now doing distant learning. This is so strange but by Wed I will be working form home I might be able to get use to this. We will see how it goes, of course my classes are largely hands on so good thing we did most of it in the months before.

I heard today that our government is suggesting that we not gather in groups larger than (10) ten people with ample space between the people.

I still feel very safe to continue to fish and it will also allow me time to get out of my house for a couple of hours, for my sanity. lol

PS .... I can only invite 9 of you to fish with me at a time. lol
I still hope to read some great fish reports from y'all during this time! Thumbs Up

PSS ... I'll be passing due to dinning-in on that night.
Be safe and wash your hands!

It has been crazy out there. I have never seen it so busy at turners, people are scared that is for sure. Hopefully I can get out there fishing soon. I know my wife is being sent home, only working two days a week and my kids are out of school until the 30th, maybe longer if this doesnt start to get better. We are being safe and hope all of you are being safe. hopefully get to see you guys out on the water soon.

I am doing my best to stay home and avoid people. Chasing groceries was a little tough last week, kept me out more than I wanted. Home delivery just failed on a few items.

I do not know anyone who has contracted this disease yet.

Does anyone here personally know someone who contracted Corona Virus?

I was at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center today for something unrelated to the Virus. I was there from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. It was empty and parking was easy, typically from 10am on this location is a madhouse. KP is pushing back all non urgent appointments to be ready for this virus. There are tents set up and screening areas, but no "customers".

I asked a nurse and she said no Corona Virus cases at this location yet.

That is good to hear hope that it does not make it out that way. I am sure most of us will no some one soon that is hit with this. But I hope that we also get in front of it before it gets to bad.

So this has been a month now and I am still wondering how everyone is doing. I don't know anyone personally that has contracted this virus and I am thankful.

I drove by Lake Perris Fairgrounds and the county has a Covid-19 testing center set up there. Cops, a hundred workers or more, huge medical tents set up for drive through testing, but less than ten cars driving through to be tested. The local hospitals are set up as well with big tents and space for testing people, but more workers and virtually no lines for people seeking help. In my area the medical community looks ready for a swarm of people, but to the untrained eye, all is calm for now.

I hope you all are well.

We are good keeping busy, I unfortunately know of 2 cases close to us. One is my wife aunts friend and she passed away. The other is a neighbor a few doors down and he has been on a Vent for the last 2 weeks. Looks like he is finally make a turn for the better.

I think it was a big ramp up for the Healthcare industry, but the stay at home order has been fairly followed and that I think might have made the biggest difference. The hope is this all blows over with no really issue in California. But we still need to understand this Virus before we can truly be safe. Social Distancing, masks and hand washing like a fool will be our new norm for some time it looks like. I did get out to Laguna Lake just the other day with my daughter no fish just got to wet a line it felt great.

My daughter is a department head at a LA County hospital.  Powers that be scared the hell out of them that they would be over run; even though they are a Rehab Hospital, not a general service hospital.

Hasn't happened with the virus, of course.  But, since a big part of their clientele are gang bangers I imagine that having so many people on the streets makes for brisk business anyway..

Few cases have come in for other reasons and tested +.  That causes problems because then any staff members who contacted them have to be isolated.

County powers are still beating the drum that the surge is coming, so it is tense.  Guess they are still looking at the bad models.

She told me tonight that they are still short of test kits, etc.

Older daughter is a Labor & Delivery Nurse near Sacramento.  They have had a couple of mothers- to-be come in with suspicious symptoms, but fortunately tested negative.  That would be a real cluster ---if an active case got loose in that area.

My daughter and wife have me on double lock down.  Fortunately, solitary fishing is allowed.  Unfortunately, the fish have me isolated.

Just saw on the news that my home town, Jacksonville, Fl, opened the beaches and restaurants today.  Believe it is first city to make such a bold move.  Clips of mob scenes on the beaches.  You can't coach stupid.

My wife and I were on a cruise when the s**t hit the fan. We barely made it through Argentina and Brazil until we were allowed to fly home. Hours and hours in crowded foreign airports with no masks, but we are feeling just fine (we’ve been home for three weeks). I sincerely hope we can return to “normal” soon because I (my opinion) believe many more lives will be deeply harmed by unemployment, depression, increased alcohol and drug use, etc. I have personal experience in this area.
Meanwhile, I’ll continue to fish at the local bays whenever I’m able. Fishing lifts my spirit!

Wow Mark!

I’d say that you and your wife had successfully dodged the contagious COVID-19 virus bullet in all those crowded layover airports (being exposed without protection & face masks) in countries while trying to get back home safe!
Well ... in my book ... that’s got to be a blessing!
I’m truly relieved to read that you and your wife are safely in your home now.

PS .... I also continue to fish in my local bays as well, whenever I’m able for “fishing lifts my spirits” too!

See ya on the water! 🎣
