Two questions: 1. I've got one of the older Outcast FishCat float tubes (blue/black) from 2013. I have not used this one for about 4 years now. I've had it stored slightly inflated in my garage. It is still in good shape, being used only a few times. Is it safe to use now?  2. I have a gift card for Amazon and I kind of want to buy another float tube, but I don't want to spend more than $160 on it. Amazon has some brands in that price range that I don't know.. Lazzo, Wistar, Classic Accessories (Teton). Does anyone have any info on these 'tubes? Thanks in advance!

l have fished out of a Classic Accessories Cumberland tube for the last three years. I have been extremely pleased with its performance. Wistar makes what appears to be an exact copy (the color appears to be a lighter shade of green). It sells for half the price. If it’s the same tube, just under a different label, it would be a great deal.

Hey Komori,

I just looked at the Wistar on Amazon and their model looks just like the Cumberland and they have a model that looks just like the Outcast Fishcat Deluxe 4 as well.

I like the pros of the Cumberland FT, even with their few cons.

I would say use the Fishcat.
The factory guarantee is 5 years so it must last a lot longer with low usage. The vinyl tubes don't go bad like the old rubber inner innertubes we used on the "doughnut style" floattubes. I have had to replace my Boston Valves, but not the vinyl tubes on my Cumberland and my pontoon.

I hope this helps.

I am with Jerdon but I would inflate it full and sit in the yard give it a few days and see how it goes.  If it handles the pressure take it out but stay close to shore.  But if you are looking to purchase a new tube from Amazon I have been looking at this one for a while.

Yeah , but that Goplus comes as a kit. (I just watched a video about it) You have to put in the bladders, valves, seats, etc. The other Float tubes I've bought in the past were boxed, ready the inflate and go.

Good point I did not see that and that can be a pain.

I have that same FishCat and love it!

Recently saw the CreekCompany ODC 420 ultralight on sale for $130 with free shipping. Have used one in the past and was pretty nice and on par with the FishCat. Not sure how the more recent construction is ilke, but $130 for V shape, boston valves and inflatable seats is pretty solid imo.
