Huntington Harbor 8/8/20

hit Huntington harbor today 5-11am. from 5 to 8, 1 spottie 13 inchs. from 8 to 9, 9 spotties all 14 to 15 inchs with 4 legal. total for day 14 spotties. i'll post a few pics later

thanks dan, pink and white tube bait was what they were attacking over and over. i threw a few different colors and 1 fish total was caught on them

Those are some slug spotties. Way to go. Those had to be some awesome tug o war battles

there is a beast of a spotie deep under the simple green dock, i have never seen a spotie this big. after 3 minutes of a battle i got him to tube to see him, wow close to 20 inchs, big fat slug. off he went back under the docks and after another 2 or 3 minutes he wrapped around a piling and sawed off the 30lb braid. all the fish saturday seamed hungry and put up good fights. also something was chasing nice size mackerel out of the water but could never get a bite up on the surface. dan next time your in hh, get deep under the simple green dock and see if you can get it out away from the dock. i would love to see a pic of him. if i happen to hook him again, im kicking out away from the dock and hoping i can keep him in open water.

The first one to get that 20” spottie to the boat and snap a pic will get the top prize!

A 20” Bass should weigh approx 4-lbs.
Nice fish that got away! Dang! That will bring you back!

I’d remember the tide’s exact conditions, cast and repeat.
With determination and perseverance you’re going to get that bad boy soon!

I would probably keep circling slowly back-and-forth on that dock, I’d continued to skip it way-back beneath the docks and then I’d be switching-up the bait’s colors a lot, just to piss it off for hopefully a good fish fight! Ha ha ha
