North Yuba River OTF

Fished a 4 hour session on the North Yuba River on HWY 49 Near Downieville.

Clear, cold, spring fed river.  Bolder hopping pocket water with 2WT rod and a dry dropper rig.

Takes on 75 percent of my presentations.  25 to hand, 25 hooked and lost, another 25 missed hook sets!

Smallish, beautiful wild rainbows up to about 10 inch.

So much fun to get lost in God’s creation and think about nothing but my next cast, next run, and next little rainbow to admire!

Skinny skinny water and a 2WT rod. That sounds like fun, a cross between hunting and fishing aiming at the little dudes.
