What are your thoughts on this item folk’s?!
I hope that somebody out there will find this to be a helpful item; out in your garage, next to your tackle box. 👍

Seems good to me I would love to have one of these. Maybe some day.

I seen one of these awhile back, i think it was a Piscifun model. It may take a little bit of the work out of getting the line on without any twisting. But my problem is after just a few days of drop shooting in the harbor my line is twisted on both spinning and bait caster reels.

Old thread but just having put new line on 8 spools I chuckled at the gizmo. I pay attention when putting line on as twist free as possible coming off the mother spool but in any case I take the rods and spools to green space and walk the full length of the line out and reel it back in. All twists and hiccups vanish. Plus I get some steps in.

Wow now that is something I have not heard before and I am thinking I might try it LOL. Interesting tip that for sharing.

Yea...aside from twisting issues at import to a spool, line twist occurs a lot of ways through use. In a boat you can let line out all the way (nothing tied on) and run the boat at low speed taking all the twist out and reel back in. That's why I've never fooled with gizmos rather take the sure route from the get-go.

Reeling "slack" is one way even straight line converts to twist. Easy to thumb it in on a baitcaster to help but a spinning reel requires some "de-twisting" effort occasionally. Can't bump a soft bait off the bottom and not be reeling slack line.
