Big Bear Lake, Sat 5-16-21

I hooked-up with my salt water fishing buddy Jofel (Sat 5-16-21) and he showed me a new launch and we fished around the China Island area (a peninsula now) which is near the dam at Big Bear Lake.

The water was 58°, the air was 45° and the wind was 4 mph when I arrived and it was blowing steady at 11 mph when we departed at 10 AM.

The water level of the lake is down 13 feet from full.

I got one really good grab-and-run ... that got away!
Jofel and myself received the double-skunk today!!!

Thank you Jofel for getting me down that cliff-face to the water to fish on the darkside! lol

I’m sorry to read Misfit_Angler137, that you are dry-docked for a bit.
The weather at BBL was great but the fishing was lousy!
They all had lock-jaw.

That’s normally a feed zone right there too. there’s some downed trees in the water that i’ve got some nice trout and bass around.

Ya the injury sucks but hopefully i can get out there soon.
i do wanna tube around the observatory that place was on fire not too long ago
