Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. After 40 years of fishing in a float tube, I got a leak.
Living full time in an RV I have to deflate and pack away my tubes every 3 weeks to move. I put them in the bed of my truck along with other items. Something must have slid into the folded tube. It put a one inch scrape in my FRM Boards hybrid tube which terminated in about a 2mm hole. This I discovered when blowing up the tube.
Since the hole was small I purchased PVC stitch from Amazon. It had pretty good reviews with people using it to patch all kinds of boats, waders, SUPs, etc.
All you do is de-grease the area with rubbing alcolol, and squeeze the stuff over the area, then let it dry. No patch material needed for small holes/rips.
I let it dry for 24 hours and voila! Worked like a dream. I recommend this stuff if you have a pvc/hybrid tube. It's really easy and it works!
