New to San Diego, from NYC/Long Island Metro area.

Just an introduction. My name is Bob & I'm in my late 60's.  I moved to Northern San Diego County (Poway) about 3 months ago (Nov. 2022).

 I have some experience in Kayak Fishing but have never used a float tube.  It looks interesting and I would like to give it a try. I have waders & a dry suit and am also an experienced swimmer.

I'll be lurking and searching in the forums for a while basically trying to glean the local knowledge on locations and equipment.

You are just down the hill from me.
In the past I’ve owned kayaks and all that I do now is to float tube fish in a Cumberland.
It’s much more comfortable with far better catches. I’m fishing not racing!
