FTFF 2nd Annual Christmas Toy Drive

Hey if the stores can push Christmas early then so can we. This is just to get the word out on the Toy Drive we are are going to be holding in Nov. Dec. this year. Last year we had one location and one day that we meet to fish and drop off toys. This year I am hoping to have a few locations and a few different dates to do the same.
Last year were brought in close to 50 different toys this year I am hoping to hit 100 or more. Last year we had a jar of Yumm bait to hand out to everyone (and that was great). This year we are going to hold a raffle in December, for members to win some nice packages of prizes. So far we have Big Hammer Lures, Tenacious Baits, and some Persuader Lures for the raffle. But I hope to have more to add to the mix. Let me know what you guys think and if there is anyone that might be willing to be a drop off person in your area.

im in on this!!! but my only question is the few dates and places why not just one day so we all gather up hang out wouldnt a few days end up thining the crowd of our float tube entourage

It is still in the planning stages that would be great maybe I will make 2 days. I just want to make sure everyone has a shot. I will work on the details and get it all cleaned up. Also just wanted to make sure everyone know the raffle now includes Rusty Lures

Is there a certain age frame for the toys? Or maybe thinking back on last year is there an age range in toys that you think was missing or lacking?

Ya guys I would say the older kids get left out, but I really don't have a age limit or anything like that. it is on you guys what you are confortable with. As for Wiseguy No I don't want a Rod Donated to the..... What the hell am I saying of course bro that is so cool of you thanks I will PM you later about this. We have 2 other donaters to add to the list this is growing fast.

It might be cool if the fresh and salt water events were scheduled on different days, so that people who do both or are interested in both, could attend each. Just a thought.

Any chance of contacting the place we are gathering the toys for and see if they have any specific needs or requests for donations?

OK I will work on separate days I was going to send to 2 places. Like last year we did the Spark of Love local Fire Department. I was hoping to use some of the toys for a church that we have been involved in lately, they do a christmas thing on the 8th of December. There needs are going to be the older kids. They have the youngsters covered but need some older kids stuff. So I will be setting I think Saltwater on December 1st and say the freshwater December 8th and that would be for the Spark of love. Still all in the planning stage, I am working on it. Also I will try to attach a flyer to print so that if you know some one that wanted to donate or maybe join and get involved or still maybe a local Tackle shop you could post it at that would be cool.

OK so I have been helping out at this church on Tuesday bagging food that is given out to the public in need. They heard of our fund raiser mostly because of my big mouth. But I talk to them more last night there thing is not the church but the Orange County LA County food bank. So the toys donated here would be able to be add and sent to were it is needed most. This would be the Saltwater gathering on December 1st, so that we could get it to them before 8th.
The freshwater would be on the 8th in Perris, and those gifts would go to the Spark of Love. For dropping off I would like to head down to Angle Stadium for the channel 7 bus. Maybe we could wear or shirts and possible get on TV so we could thank everyone for there help raising all the toys. Maybe we could set up a time to meet down there in Anahiem so we could have a small group.
I will be working on creating some good raffle packages this week and next week as product comes in. The idea here is have 3 or 4 or 5 packs at the NPH gathering and the Perris Gathering to raffle off to those that show up and donate to the cause. This could be before your guys head out to fish so we would have to say the raffle starts at 6:30 or 6:45 what ever work.
Wiseguys Rod could be the grand prize, and for each day you turn in a gift to the cause you would recieve a raffle ticket for a chance to win the fishing pole. So if yiou went to Perris, with a gift you get a ticket for the raffle. If you go to both with a gift for both you would recieve a ticket for both. The raffle for the rod would be on the 22nd of December and done on line through a video on you Tube. These are the plans so far and I am still working on getting this nailed down.
