Hey all,
I haven't posted here in a while but wanted to reach out and share an awesome time on the water.
It’s that time of the year again as we say goodbye to the Big B for A few months. It was an absolutely wonderful year on the lake. As you guys know this lake is so special and so much fun to fish. I met tons of new people out. There had great experiences all around. On a last minute opportunity I got to attend the final day and here’s how it went down.
I got out on the lake in the dark as usual and headed to one of my favorite rock piles to throw jigs. The jig bite for me was on fire this year for that lake. I got a bunch of fish prior to the sun coming up and then it slowed down for a bit. I got some recommendations on areas to fish, but those were spotty at best. I ended up just having a solid overall day with consistently catching fish. The calm water and the cool morning air were were just amazing. I enjoyed every moment of being out on the lake even missing a few fish. I did. I just was happy for the bites. Ended up getting 30+ fish jigs and a couple on Carolina Rigs. I tasted two great beers, including one an SD fish member recommended me to try.
I finished up about noon with a contented spirit for the year. If you want more information or to see how the day went check out the video.
*Side Note- I was invited by Bruce Smith to be on the San Diego Bass Fishing Podcast And was super honored by the opportunity. We recorded that last week and it should come out on his channel on Thursday. When it comes out, I will put a link if anyone is interested. It was a super fun conversation and I look forward to doing that with him again.
