I think fins are fins because they are meant to get you around in the water. So i think it is a personnal preferrance as to which ones you like Float tube fins or Diving fins.
Me I like the Diving fins mine are the type that clip around the back of the foot and I feel that the length gives me more control and thrust.
But here is a pair of fins I still want to try because one of the problems is when you walk in you fins there is always the chance of falling right so check these out.

If you have tried these I would like to know what you think of them.

I saw those fins, they looked sweet. Think it was on youtube in the float tubing section.

I would love to give these a try sometime, just to much for me to shell out.

I like the Scuba fins. Not much effort and a ton of thrust.

I use my $39.99 US Divers fins and have been for a while now. Before that, I use Churchill Body Boarding fins. Both have great results. I just picked up another set of fins and these are shorter more easy to manage dive fins. I went to Sport Chalet the other day to check out dive fins and those in this thread are like $200 bucks! I just can't see shelling out that much for a set of fins. Especially Force Fins. Wow are they expensive. Dive fins are the best and they are efficient and provide plenty of thrust per kick.

Yea, they look like dive fins that flip up. Have you guys tried the force or hot shots? Some guys swear by them.
