missed all the chatter!

hi all!
sure missed reading all this fun stuff!
anyone want to know what happens when you stick a chainsaw in your foot?
hubby found out on fri a.m.!
just home from hosp. today at 4 p.m.!
luckily it was the "small" chainsaw !
orthopedic sugeon says " if you were going to stick a saw in your foot... that was a pretty lukcy placement!"
got a couple months of "honey does & fetching ahead!
but so very glad to be home & have a hubby with 10 toes still attatched!

Holy Moly! Im glad he still has all of toes.... I have had some gnarly chainsaw exp my self there no joke.

Noo i wasnt complaining about where you posted...i just clicked and expected to read a joke lol....but now that hes gonna be fine i bet you can laugh about it and will be able to give him crap about it for a while lol

Thank goodness he is going to be all right but the good this.g is he got you to take care of him but work for you

Glad to hear he didn't do too much damage to himself, didn't know where was a lucky place to stick a chainsaw into yourself. My neighbor took one to the knee couple years ago, still walks with a cain.

Youch! Sorry to hear the unfortunate accidental occurance. I'm still having my hair standing on edge after seeing message over an hour ago..glad you are doing better.

I just read this I am so sorry that this happened, but so glad all is well. Tell your husband to take it easy he needs all his fingers and toes to keep landing those LMB's he has got in the past.

dam that sucks glad everything is ok and hope u still have a good xmas

went to the ortho. spec. yesterday! change of dressing & back in a half cast.
it looks relly ugly today. FRANKEiN FOOT! lots of stiches!
the saw got just behind the bottom knuckle of his big toe (closest to the knee). carved away 80% of the bone. cut 2 tendons and severed a small nerve.
the fuzzy spot on the exray is the pile of bone chips. packed in to graft the gouge.
still no putting wgt. on it . next week stiches out, then a real cast. dr. says it looks good! the tendons are working. & the skin looks healthy. no dancing for a while yet

WOW?! And the doc said he still has all his functioning nerves intact for proper balancing and sensation? Man, wish you recorded the operation procedures on that operation. Would have been GLORIOUS!
