Ed, I really like the Albright knot for joining line. It just makes such a smooth transition. I will help you if you want. When you work with the smaller diameters it is difficult if your blind and all thumbs like me but its worth tying. On your lures with fluro try the Rapala knot. Its easy (not pretty) and I have been tying lately and its a good knot. It also gives you a loop which "free up the action" as they say.

Ed,

I have been using the UNI or otherwise called the Duncan loop on all of my knots for years. The cool thing about it is you can either make a little loop out of it to make your bait swim freely or you can tie it tight to the hook eye so your lure follows the line exactly. You can also use this knot for joining two different lines together( like your mono to your braid) or tying your line to your reel. Besides learning a Palomar knot to tie on a drop shot rig, that should be the only two knots you wouls ever need. Well sort of Shocked

These are the only ones i ever use. I like the Palomar whenever possible and the uni the rest of the time.
