How do you guys (gals) store your equipment? Tube, fins, waders... Right now they're just sitting in my garage. Not too worried about them since its winter, but I wanted to do something before it gets hot. Unfortunately, I don't have room inside the house to get them out of the summer heat, but should I get tubs/containers for them? Obviously, make sure everything is dry before putting them in. Advice?

How about the plastic tots from Target, or I just use duffle bags to store all my stuff. 1 for fins, and vest 1 for waders and nothing else and still 1 for my tubes if I need to put them away.

yeah.. was thinking the tots or containers from target. just was wondering if they sat for a while in the if sitting in them without air circulation would cause them to dry out faster.. I like the duffel bag idea though

I fish so much that i always keep my stuff readu to go. After a session i rinse them off and leave everything in the back of my truck...if i had the option id have a garage with some type of a hook to hang everything on though.

I been using one of those plastic storage containers to keep my float tube and gear together and safety away from the outside elements.

I drilled a few holes in the container to prevent moisture build-up.

Make sure holes (1/8" to 1/4" are not just at the top, but also on the sides and bottom to allow air to circulate inward from all direction, with left over water dripping out from the bottom. Ensure there's about 1/2" off the floor to ensure water doesn't linger at the base of the container. A good plastic 45 gal tote can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes for $15. Very thick walls and lid.

Cap'n Kirk had a really cool duffel bag that held all his gear sans tube and was made out of mesh with handles and a zipper. Pretty cool. As for me, I did the bag thing, the tote thing and have resolved myself to the fact that I fish my gear so often that stowing it is a waste of my time. Tube hangs in garage, waders next to it and all other gear is in or attached to tube. Except rods of course.

I know this is not an option for folks with limited space...

Us guys with 3+ members family can be limited on garage hanging room. You know what I mean Razz But that is the best method to do. Hanging is is one way to ensure the tube and gears are properly dry.

I use a mesh dive bag to store them in and for my tube I have the prowler storage bag.
