Does anyone have experience with this method of rigging a swim bait like a Big Hammer etc?

I'm going to look through my gear and see if I can rig a couple of these and try them out at the local ponds.

I am goingt o try tying this set up this weekend. There is a tournament I plan on fishing in April and I would love to have this in my bag of tricks.
No more short hits would be a good way to win one of the tourny's

It is reminiscent of some bigger game saltwater rigs I've seen on YouTube. I would imagine you could use this concept on a small worm or grub behind a small spinner for trout and crappie and bigger for bass? I think there is a type of hook you can add on to a primary hook called a "stinger hook"? I believe it has a larger eye to go over the barb on the primary hook. This reminds me of a variation. Only your imagination will stop you.
