Lake Perris April Fool's Gathering 2012

To all the members that showed up today, thanks for another successful FTFF gathering.

Sorry for not staying long. Had a little emergency to take care of.

As you can tell, I skunked it. I knew it wasn't gonna be a good day for me after I caught a whiff of skunk scent walking down the ramp.

Had many strikes from panfish and trout, unfortunately I didn't bring my ultralight gear and the gear I did have was too big for them.


Anyways, it was great meeting up with you guys and congrats to the winners.

Another awesome gathering with the forum! So I woke up at 8:30 and my carpool had left me behind, so I grabed my stuff and hit the road... launch at 12pm and you know how it goes, early angler gets the fish lol ...Got skunked but I had a greate time on the water! tubed with my dog for the first time and she was pretty chilled out there, got to meet some members and the fish tacos were best i ever had!!! N2DEEP thank you! you get an A+ and tubingferbass for the drinks!! Greate times guys!!

I had a good day on the water fishing, not catching much but meeting some nice people. And the fish tacos were the best. Congratulations to the winners and it was good to see a good turn out of "Salties"

Let me just start off by thanking everybody for a great time on the water today

The day started off great!!!! met up with every body an all hit the water bout 7ish. Didnt take long for people to start hookin up. Headcase caught the first bass an it was all over from there. The weather treated us nice today with partly cloudy skys an really no wind till bout noon ish an it wasnt a bad wind at all. I ended the day with 7 lmb the biggist weighing 2.8 lbs. Saw some 5 lbers caught an heard rumors of a boat landin two 9 lb an a 15 lb bass. We got off the water bout 130-145 an was greated with the awesome smell of In2deeps fish tacos!!!!!!! O MAN them fish tacos were screamin I think I ate like 6 lol.
Special thanks to In2deep for hookin us up with some amazing tacos an all the fixins. Flyfishingfool for his crazy big entry donation for the lure pot was way awesome!!!!


Thanks again guys for the great company, amazing food and all around awesome day!!!!!!


Here are the results:

1st place: Headcase 5.3 lb bass....... won 50% of entry lures
2nd place: Tubinferbass 2.8 lb bass....... won 30% of entry lures an $40 cash for biggest bass
3rd place: Konacrush 2.6 lb bass....... won 20% of entry lures

Sounds like an awesome time! Sorry I missed it. Did they do float tube inspections at the gate? How many bass were caught?

No inspections that im aware of no body was even at the gate. As far as how many bass..... A hole bunch I know of a couple others that got up to 5-6 or more!!!!!! An some hooked into some bluegills an redear and kelster n In2deep both caught a trout havin a lil trouble loadin pics but will have some to add soon.

Awesome day on the water! That lake is beautiful, i really wish i took more pics. Either way I have a few and will load them up later along with some gopro footage.

Those tacos were amazing! Im still full right now....so thanks for the tacos!

This was my first time tubing the freshwater and I'm happy with the one bass i landed, the one who got away at the tube, and the one who got tangled in some brush and broke me off.

Sounds like a good time! Wtg boys....

Awesome day guys, I had a tuff time today with your guys type of fishing but I was able to hold my own. I ended the day with 4 landed fish and 1 spitting the hook out. Can't believe how much these green bass jump. I'll be back again soon and I'll some of those magic worms this time

Man it was awesome lake perris was nice. the wind picked up for an hour but and settled down fishing was awesome at the point across to the east side I had so much fun with my buddies WTG tubinferbass you know how to throw a party fer tubers N2deep thanks for the ono's fish taco's and mahalo to all who helped and headcase your too funny with all thatbad luck in the morning but it payed off for him congrats on dat 5.5 lbs perris LMB I got a 2.6 lbs bass that was the biggest for me but managed 6 fish they love dem brushy baits lol

Yes it was a awesome day on the water could ask for better. Great weather and the fish where on the chew!!!!!!!!! As Kona said Man did i have a morning of fumbles with these footballs just could not keep them in my hands Three good fish all over the side of the tube GOD!! it was horrible. good thing i dont play pro balll. But i didnt let it get me down and persistance paid off just kept flippin into the thickets. Hopefully massfisher will be kind enough to upload the beast for me as i could not get my cell camera on. thanks for the help guys and miller thanks for the use of the grips they are awesome gotta try and make it out to get a pair

hey N2deep funny story I lost that football jig.. I stopped at a pond on the way home to dana point and got it hung up and snapped I thought about putting on the waders an go get it but I was tired but it was a 1/2oz brown with shinny red within the brown skirt i forget the company name it's what was recomende by the lovely folks at THE LONGFIN thats my shout out oh and thanks to the people at HOGAN'S BAIT N TACKLE in DANA POINT oooooooweeeeeeee [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

No problem man. Wish the pic came out better...it looked a lot bigger in real live. I got some gopro footage too that ya'll will see in a short video im working on now. If you like how it looks on the gopro i can try to grab an image of it and post that as well.

Hey HEADCASE, Never did hear what you caught your nice bass on. I'm going out Friday in a friend's bass boat with my grandson. Can't wait! I don't care about me, I've caught tons of bass. Just want 11 year old Cameron to catch one, or two or three, etc! Hey nice pics.

^ i have a really cool video with tons of bass (only a few clips from perris). The problem is uploading it....im doing it from my buddies wifi hotspot via his phone so it may take a lonnnng time lol
