THought I would hit my home lake for a few hours today. Went to bed thinking I was going to go around 6ish. I wanted to see what was up with the morning bite.

6am came, I woke up but was still feeling way tired.

I hit the sack for a few more hours.

Wake up around 9:30 and im at the lake make a cast by 10.

No tube today since it was a quick run. Hit the south/east shore from 10 until noon.

Threw a jig and a modified senko and managed to get 2 healthy looking bass. The biggest was just about 2 1/2 lbs. He hit like a tank and flopped around trying to spit the hook.

Met up with another local who ended the day with 4 fish with a nice healthy 31/2 lber. He was working a dropshot.

At one point, we got right over a school of males ranging from 1 to about 11/2 lbs. We managed 4 fish in 4 casts.

Used a watermelon jig and green pumpkin "Senko Palm". Monster and FFF know the bait. Very Happy

Thanks Trial and Error for the report, great looking LMB's bro. looks like we should have hit the Pudd instead of Laguna today. Oh well that is how it goes fishing is fishing, and what the hell is a Senko Palm.

I have a hard time at Laguna and only manage little fish on crank baits. Are there still bass up in the pond at the top of the creek?

The guy I ran into at the lake mentioned the water temp being 57.

LOL Ok guys ill let you guys in on the senko palm.

It is a senko the has a yamamoto mini skirt welded to it with a lighter.

I got tired of throwing away old senkos and creature baits and combined them into new plastics. I just melt the together lol.

I like a pumpkin senko with a watermelon skirt. I fish it like an Ika or on a shakey head.

I think the skirt changes the appearance of the senko and is something different for the bass to look at.

It is a thicker variation of Yum's Shakealicious, but I came up with this before I knew of Yums product.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] One is a Green Punpkin with a watermelon skirt and the other is a Green pumpkin red flake senko with a motor oil skirt.
