I had a nice day of fishing to KICK off the new year. Decided to hit the hightide early. Fished form 5:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. I ended with 7 spottys (15 inch average) and 4 sandbass (same size as the spottys). I was stoked to get to break in my new rod,and have a succsesful first fishing trip of the year.

Yeah it's hard getting out of a nice warm bed and into cold waders,and water but it was worth it.
