Friend in desperate need of a job...

A friend of mine just lost his job with the post office they kept cutting his ours back more and more then finally let him go. So basically he's looking for work and he is pretty much up to do anything to get by as he has 2 kids and a wife to support. He isn't looking for anything too specific he just wants to find work and be able to take care of his family, if he could learn a new skill or trade along with employment even better. He is located in the La Palma/Buena Park area just for reference, not that he won't travel for work.

If anyone has anything they could send his way or I might suggest to him it would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

That's rough.. Me wife has been out of work now for 3 months and the last week or so she's been gettin calls for interviews. Even has a couple of prospects. Seems like there's a few more jobs out there now.. Good luck to your friend..

I will keep my eyes open for you friend bro. You could have him look at edjoin.com this is a place that lists all School District jobs that are open. They are always looking for people in different areas, just a suggestion.

that sucks.. sorry to hear that. I have about 5 friends that are all laid-off and going on 13+ months without work .. this sh*t has to turn around soon.

That sucks dude, I know the feeling about being layed off. I was blinded side myself when I was layed.

Thanks guys, yeah it's crazy I've taken more time off the past 3 years than I ever have due to work being slow and had alot of friends changing jobs every few months.

My friend has been hitting the craig's list wanted ads hard and stores that might use him for even just a little while.

I can relate a little bit 2 days ago made 3 years that I was injured on the job, my case was suppose to settle this past October, but since a certain doctor didn't fill out his report correctly, well lets just say I have to start all over again but this time not being paid since October.
I've managed to earn my AA degree in IT Networking which I hope will help me land a job once I can get back out there get my certifications and with over 8 years of doing "Premise cable" work I should be good, until then???

Tell him to hit some temp agencies.
They really do help.
