For the salt I use the following from my tube:
Shimano Curado 200e7
Shimano Calcutta 200te gt
Shimano Calcutta 250b
Shimano Curado 100dsv

Man, you guys are awesome. I must admit I have always been a fan of Shimano products. Never used a Compre rod, so what application is each one for?

Also surprised nobody mentioned Robyn's rods. Thought they were popular in Cali.

i use the eagle claw featherlite rods and a shakespeare contender reels

for float tube fishing because they are both inexpensive so if i drop them overboard and lose them (my 8 yr old has already done this once)

its not any huge loss

i have g loomis gl 2 s and st croix avid series rods for shore fishing but when i go out on my tube its the featherlight

plus being glass rods they are an absolute blast to fish with a 1 lb crappie feels like he is 5 lbs Very Happy Very Happy
