Hammer I read your stuff all the time you post cause of your tribute to the world of fishing and the experience you have and believe me I read and take note

So this is going to be my first time ever fishing the salt so I don't really have any tackle what kind of stuff would you guys recommend that I get to throw for the first time I just have my LMB tackle (roboworms, jigs, chigger craws, cranks, etc.)

Shads and scrub will do you and some big hammers us you got stuff that the fish will eat

Don't worry, I'll set you up with some lures ect, I have a TON of stuff, all of which is for sale, but I won't charge you anything.

BTW, is there enough interest in buying some of what I have to warrant hauling all my tackle and gear down there..?

I'll try to get semi list up of what I have soon.

That is a tough decision to make Hammer! I had to make it last year when the company I work for was bought out. With the new company running thing I just don't have the time to fish. It has been well over a year sense I have even put a line in the water! 

My advice would be to hold onto a few rods and reels...you never know when you might decide to return.

Yeah my gear is sitting in the storage collecting dust. I have not even got to see my father-in-laws new tackle shop in New Port cause of work, and it has been open for a year.

I know...funny thing is I design stuff for the marine industry and I don't even get to see the water anymore.

I keep telling myself I am going to get out and fish soon but it just never happens. I did not even get a license this year!

I hope to get out at least once before winter sets in! Maybe I can get you out of retirement for a day so we can slay the spotties like the good old days.

Huntington Harbor Meets the FTFF

October 5th at Sea Bridge Park in the city of Huntington Beach. 6am launch 12 noon weigh in.
We will be fishing a stress free fun for all style event, targeted species Spotted Bay Bass, 3 largest fish will win a Bass Underground T-Shirt and bragging rights till the next gathering.

Rules:
1. Must be a registered Float Tube Fishing Forum Member at the     day of the event.
2. Artificial lures only, no bait or cut bait allowed.
3. Tube fishing only (I think we all understand this)
4. Catch Photo and release all fish on the day, photos must show the fish length and weight clearly.  So you will need a digital scale and camera or a friend with a digital scale camera.
5. Spotties must be 13” plus to be eligible for weigh in.

Must important rule you must have a good time this once again is a no stress fun event designed to help us meet and greet new faces, as well as fish with old friends.
