Good morning gentlemen. Gonna be making my first trip out to diamond valley lake this Saturday with a few of our very own. Finally gonna get out to toss them big swimbaits on the custom built by our very own WISEGUY!!! The work and finish on the rod is ridiculous. If anyone is interested in joining us. You are more than welcomed. A few of us will be shore fishing. If money allows we might even jump on a toon and split the cost depending on the turnout. If anyone is interested let us know. We plan to be there right before they open. Hanging out till maybe 2or3pm.

Good luck out there bro I'll be at Perris Saturday hope you land something bad just be careful DVL is notorious for offshore structure especially along the shore fishing area I know I've donated my fair share of tackle to that lake.

I would get there no later than 5am, otherwise there will be a hell of a long line in front of you. On weekends, their boats go fast, especially the toons.

If you guys do get a boat, work the points early first thing, don't overlook structure off shore, and be sure to turn off the fishfinder when you fish.

Good luck.

Yes it is!!! I was sent the link and gave the guy a call. I'm set to meet him before 6am. From the reviews it sounds like this is legit. So you have heard of him?

Hope to do just that. It's been a while since I've been on the hunt for LMB. I always set the bar at 1 hope to beat the skunk...at least.

Bass taxi is a good way to go. I know a few folks that rented his boat and were totally happy. Remember to turn off the electronics once you find fish/get to a spot.

Make long cast's, top water first thing. Also, under the floating restrooms, you can get some smallies...Cool

Hello there boys. Yesterday's outing at DVL was not the most productive but had a good time on the boat with Aquaholic who decided to go halves with me. Thank you for that brotha!!! Started off by hitting the corner if the ponds. No strikes no chasers. That lake gets very deep very fast. Water clarity is about 20ft. We were tossing the big baits. I was using a 8" hudd and Aqua was tossing 9" triple trout. Had no problem tossing 50-80 feet with the new WISEGUY custom. Had one chaser it was a beast but he wasn't fooled. Aqua got hit late in the day. Broke off at the surface.  The stripers were boiling about 3:30 pm but the lake closes at 4:15 so no time to change up strategy. We needed to get out. Long story short I was skunked!!!! What to do?!? Next time I hope. It's been a while since I fished fresh. Gotta sharpen up them skills.

Hey man any day out on the water is better than nothing you can't beat that! Too bad about the skunk though that lake is not easy especially for first timers it took me awhile before I hooked into my first DVL bass but you'll get it figured out. I know you were in search of a giant but when in doubt... drop shot! How was the bass taxi?
