Heading to Texas

So some of you know and some don't, my 2 youngest kids have a type of Hypoglycemia. This problem mimics Diabetes but is nothing like it. Now after running some Genetics testing we have found that they have a new issue. Basically they found a doubled Gene in there DNA strand, and after doing testing on me and my wife they have found that I have the same issue.

So to make a long store as short as possible, we are a going to Texas to be part of a study with Children's Hospital. We are part of a very small group of people in the world that have this condition. Well we are finding it to be very costly to get there and our church has offered to run a couple of fund raisers for us and the kids to help us get there.
On the 9th of February we are holding or should I say the church is holding a Fundraiser Garage Sale in La Habra. If anyone is interested in coming by let me know I will get you an address, or if you would like to pass the word on that would be very helpful.

There will also be a Bowling night as well once we have more information on this I will pass the word along. I am sorry to have to post this here but it is very important to us. I am not asking for people to have a bleeding heart for us, but if you want to pass the word along or swing by we would be more than grateful.

Wow jeff! I have no words to express my concern. I really hope they find a cure or a way to controll it. And must def. will stop by the yard sale. Be strong and keep hope. I think god chooses the stronger for this kind of things. can you post the adress of the church here?

Thanks guys that really feels good to know people are out there for us. I will post up the flyer on this thread later today if I get the time. As for my kids they truly are doing well, we just need to get answer if it is even possible. This is for there future and we are hoping to help others that start showing up with these same disorders.

My wife is a God sent in this whole ordeal. She is home with the kids and has worked hard to learn how to feed them properly to maintain there good health. There are 3 or 4 other children at CHOC that have the same issue and the Dr's say they don't look as good as our kids. So Our prayers go to those Families and We truly appreciate your prayers and well wishes for us and our Kids. You guys rock now go catch a fish for me

How come mutant genes never cause anything cool like breathing water or flight? Its always something bad and horribly expensive (so glad I don't have kids!)

I'm sorry.. but I have a prior obligation this Saturday. Is there any idea or a list of things that will be for sale at the Yard Sale? Or.. are people contributing fishing gear? either at the Yard Sale, or here online? If yes, I'd love to look and see if there is something I can buy to help a brother out. God bless...

Hey Jay thanks I don't think there will be any fishing gear at the Yard Sale. If there is I get first pick Ha Ha. don't worry bro I know they had an auction going on here. There might be another one soon.
You might hit up n2deepfsw he had one running and might have somethign for another auction but check with him for details on his auction.

Just got the e-mail tonight we will be heading out there on the 28th of this month. Wow this is happening fast.
