I was working on a boat at a dock in the ocean removing decals from it and we use an adhesive remover called Rapid Remover. You spray the glue on the boat and let it sit you overspray got in the water in your eyes and it finds all your cuts on your hands you never knew you had. Its great stuff. Its like a citrus oil and smells just like oranges. It ran down the boat too some got in the water. Low and behold fish were flocking to the boat sides we were working on. Has anyone used a citrus scent or has known of citrus attracting fish? I mean there was literally 20 fish I could have literally picked outta the water by hand. The label says its water soluble but seems to be bad if you have it on you for a while. Any thoughts on citrus for fishing?

Lemon lime fish scent you may have found the new scent of 2014. I will take an orange off my tree next time I go out. All joking aside maybe you got something new there.

I had a feeling it was going to be a no no because WD40 is illegal to use for fishing. But who knows, maybe citrus might still work in a different form.

There is a lot of possibilities with oranges. Have you guys ever seen the citrus acid that sprays out of the peels. If you were to squeeze that acid out and hold a lighter under it it'll lite up like gas. Crazy STUFF.

WD40 does not contain fish oil. It's petroleum distillate.

Orange scent, or rather, citrus oil, containing ketones and emulsified organic compounds similar to sunken structures, which signal fishes to come and dwell/feed on the possible abundant food sources. Common things for the Asian countries to encourage fish species to be prolific in their croplands. It's being practiced here now as well in hydroponic farmlands.
