skunked in DPH

Me and my buddies headed out Sunday to Dana Point Harbor, it was the best conditions its ever had there in my opinion just really cold!!! As we trolled to our spot we were just getting little nibbles thats it. Were at our spot and the spotties were really active, my buddy kept hooking them, then they would just come off    He had another one on the line then that one came off   Then finally I was getting action, I had one on then it wrap itself in kelp   then i waited for him to come out, which he did but hook came off ): . Then we were heading back in and I got a lizard fish thats it but we got skunked!

Don't be discouraged. That is part of game. It's a tough pill to swallow. The conditions were beautiful yesterday. I still have yet to visit DPH. I hope to scratch that off the bucket list this season.

Was thinking of heading out there this saturday/sunday. sounds like it may be a better bet to just jump on the jetty or tube somewhere else. Thanks for the report.

Sorry for the skunk happened to me yesterday as well, it happens just got to pick up your skirt and head back out to shack it off. That is what I do better luck next time cannot be any worse right.

It was all luck that you got that lizardfish, lol. I should have had a bunch of fish but the fish gods were against me.

Ah I know that feeling! About a month ago I tubed NPH with my buddy and I had two solid hits by spotties. I managed to hook up on one, fought him a bit, but lost it in the end. The other one slammed a sinking crank hard, but I missed that one.
