Took advantage of a clear pocket in the weather with the typical suspects and it could not have been any better. Arrived to the location with a light drizzle and we got suited and booted. For a quick minute I thought I did not have my fins with me since I had been taking my tube in and out of the truck all weekend. After a quick oh S**t moment I found them in that back of my tube We all managed to launch no problem and off we went. We made a stop along the way and I was concentrating on a point.

that's where this little booger came from. Blood was pumping since I rarely get calicos here and also the skunk was out of the way bright and early.

Next guy to say hello was this little guy which came out of the same area. So far my PB from a tube

As I was looking through my gear I noticed I had a crab that I got from Jeff at one of the gatherings. I got curious and slipped it onto a drop shot rig that I had and BAM. These rockfish weren't the biggest but surely were well fed and put up a great fight

The little crab kept bringing up fish until it got stolen by a hungry fish It was the magic ticket but now I was forced to change up to different lures and find a new pattern since that was my only crab

On the way out I tied on a Hook-R lead head with an OTS curly tail. I tossed it right next to a dock and the strong current dragged it underneath the dock. One turn of the handle and FISH ON. This sculpin fought like a champ. I unhooked him and was getting ready to let him go when I noticed he was trying to puke something up. I took a quick look and pulled it out with my pliers. To my surprise looks like lizard fish do have a predator other than halibut. The lizard fish was about 9" long.
The rain let up a bit and we got out. It was just enough to get back to the launch site and everything back in our vehicles.
Until next time fellas
