Ive been doing alot of hiking recently and wanted to go camping. I grew up in Northern California and havent been camping in socal in the 11 years Ive been here.
I looked online and read about Lodgepole, and it looks pretty nice. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Id really like to be near some water so i can fish of course. My range that im willing to drive would be 4 hours from Cypress if that helps. If anyone wants to join, Im thinking of going within the next month or so. thanks!

Serrano Camp Ground in Big Bear you can walk to the water, maybe not the best fishing location, but I like that you can spend the day fishing and just walk back to your camp grounds for Breakfest, Lunch, and Dinner. That is my 2 cents.

Lone pine for some epic Golden trout. Me and a few friends are planning on a overnight hiking/camping trip up in GTW (Golden Trout Wilderness) in a few months. Details have not been finalized yet but will share as more info is gathered.
