dph jetty 05032014

Had some friends that wanted to do some jetty hopping with me at grey light. Met up and off to the long jetty, only to find it closed?!? We waited around with another pack of fishermen not wanting to risk getting a fat fine. Called habor patrol and they were unable to tell me if they were going to open it...flat calm with the occasional 2' rolling through. opted to go to the short jetty. Tossed 5" hammers for a whole lot of nothing. Called it quits and ate breakfast at 9am. Went home with a skunk and my pockets a little emptier after buying some stuff at hogan's. Always next time...
Water was cold and murky green...maybe when it settles down, it'll be better.

I say we amend the rules, if we come home with more fishing stuff than we left with we can't call it a skunk!
