In law wanted to go fishing in the salt for the first time so I decided to take him to the jetty off 72nd street. Never anything big, but there are always fish to be caught. We started off at 8 and fished until the bottom @ 2pm. Total fish: 3 smelt and 2 macks. We tossed multiple kinds of plastic but only the gulp 2" sandworms worked. He was happy to catch fish and I was happy to put him on something. Didn't see much of anything else being caught though. Did see a decent sized corbina cruising the shallows. He's looking forward to the next trip out already. Gotta slowly work him up to tubing
