Went for a bit of an outing today with the new 55 pound electric on the pontoon. Had a fish but could not get any interest as it is mid winter here and the temp was 0 deg here today with water at 15 deg.
I took some pics to show some of the country that we fish here and the local wildlife.
Cheers KIM

Funny you would say a relaxing lake because when the wind blows it can get very dangerous with big waves.

The first time I read this, I brushed off the idea of seeing kangaroos thinking I was seeing things due to me being up late. I just read it again after some sleep and I guess I wasn't seeing things. Looks like a great place to fish! What species are available?

When I first saw those temps I thought why is that water still liquid??? Doh! He is not talking Fahrenheit! Still, looks warmer.

Thanks guys for all the interest in our little fishing spot. It holds Native Australian Bass which are very much like your bass. We target them mostly in summer with surface flies and lures but they will bite during the winter sometimes. I did find the schools holding out in the middle gathered at about 20-23 feet but could not get them to bite on anything I had with me. Funny I was thinking today I should have been clearer on the temp thing as you would all think I was a bit crazy with those temps.
It got to 17 deg c and was a great day on the water. I am heading out there this weekend for a kayak gathering so will take some better pics then.
Cheers KIM
