irvine lake shimano tournament.

this was a crazy turn out. mikeotunakiller and myself drove to the lake at 2am to get in line and we were still like 30 cars back lol.

i stoped fishing at 1230ish i got skunked, but up on the hill i counted over 20 float tubers!! that was insane and some pontoons also. I saw pacifico on the water and travis from fools bait. and FISHING ALL DAY BABY was there to. saw the VC girls chatted for a while. but it was a skunk fest for most of us.

mike o did catch one little tiny guy about 3/4 of a lb. but he beat the skunk.

man that sucks. I had a few friends go and they got skunked as well. Im thinking the water is still a bit hot for trout to go off wide open. I would fish deep water with a crawler or natural color jigs. im going to wait till it gets cold if it ever dose,,lol

The water temp was 58-60 all day, but I think the lack of water movement wasn't helping. I noticed once the wind picked up so did the bite. I did manage one little dude and lost a couple others. I did notice most fish were caught in 10ft or less water.

so i was throwing mainly the fools bait worms, but after i tried the colors i went to mice tails which did nothing but get caught in line on the bottom of the lake lol and some z-spoons also. but nada

That's sucks bro, I'll be there on Sunday with my boy but I'll be chilling at the kid pond. It's all about him that day. Head on out if you can
