Bartlett Lake AZ 1/3/15

Fished Bartlett Lake in Cave Creek, AZ Saturday.  Temps were upper 30's to low 40's, water was in the upper 50's.  Ended up with 10 total LMB on jigs.  Fished a steep dropoff covered with big boulders.  Bartlett isn't known for big fish but numbers.  All fish were 1.25 lbs. to 3lbs.

Nothing like catching double digit numbers on bass in the beginning of January.

Jerdon....Green pumpkin football jigs - 3/8 oz. Fished slow.......very slow. Saw a few guys in boats tear through the area in front of me without catching a thing.....they need to learn to slow down.

WTG on the Jig bite , sure beats throwing plastics and the cost that comes with them . Nice looking bass you caught there and thanks for the great read .

Good Job!! Bartlett is way better than Pleasant as far as boats go. Getting ready for the high mountain lakes soon.

Sorry...been indesposed for a few months due to work. GT....Prescott is probably an hour and a half from where I live so it's probably about that far to the lake. There are lakes up in Prescott that you can get into that hold fish, and they stock them with trout. Your closest major lake is probably Lake Pleasant where you can catch Largemouth and a ton of striped bass.

Nice report. Yeah, I'm into the slow it down philosophy. Nothing more peaceful than shooting line with only the sound of insects buzzing by or a couple of birds thrashing around in the reeds or the splash of water from a bass fight.

No problem Sir....in fact me and the misses are heading to Prescott next week for a look. Ya work can be a bust sometimes, but then again that's what fish'n is for......GT
