I fished Bartlett Lake probably 4 or 5 times from my float tube during January.  The bite started off solid, catching 7 or 8 fish each trip out but slowing down towards the end to 3 or 4 fish.  Weather played a part in that.  Caught decent size fish for Bartlett lake which is known for it's rat/dink population.  Here are some of the pics (they are on the measuring board because they were for the tournament).  All fish were caught on a green pumpkin jig.  My trailers were either the net paca chunk, or Larry the Lizard Frog N Craw (rattlin bait that can be used for either technique).  Also used was Liquid Mayhem bait scent.  The last 2 were from Saguaro Lake and were all caught on dropshot - orange crusher roboworm pretty shallow.  Fish tend to move up in that lake a little early and with the last full moon they males were on the move.

Looks like a good start to the year.
Jigs and drop shots to start.
Thanks for sharing.

Great report! Thanks for sharing your tips. Just goes to show that the drop shot is a powerful rig, fresh or salt.

Jigs and dropshot are by far my favorite ways to fish with jigs being [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. A lot of people look down on dropshot and I don't understand it. Any time you can go out and catch 25 fish is a good day no matter what you use. I've done well in boat tournaments with both and they are definitely my confidence builders.
