Well the wife and I went on a casino binge in Laughlin......I brought the rod and took a trip over to Davis Dam, Nevada side. They have a nice little park, restrooms, playground for the kids and fishing piers. My plan was to fish Tuesday.....Wasn't happening. Windy, 45 mph gusts. So it's on my list the next time we go.........

Just to give u some insight to the park, your right at the outlet of Davis Dam, about 10 minutes from Casinos on Davis Dam road off the 40 to Vegas. The park has been open for about a year, looks brand new to me. Plenty of parking and close to the water. The water is clear and aerated, piers have seats for your tired butt and have covers for shade. I believe their were 3 built along the shore. Their not your wooden dock variety, they are elevated above the water so u get a nice view of where the pools and currents are. Someone put some time and effort into designing them. Plenty of birds feeding on fish from the outlet of the dam, so I would think it is good for strippers. The locals recommended soft trout like lures, cut bait. I was so into fishing that place.......GT
