Any Info on Davis Dam in Laughlin?

Im meeting up in Laughlin with my brother this weekend, and he told me that the catfish bite is hot at Davis Dam. But we both know nothing about that place. Anybody have any info they can share?

My wife and I were at Laughlin 3 weeks ago. According to the locals the stripper bite is hot, from the dam downriver. There is a park on the Nevada side at Davis Dam, take Davis Dam road off the highway to Vegas. You leave the casino's north to the T intersection go left to Vegas. Up the road about a mile and a half, turning right. Their are restrooms, water, shaded areas, picnic/bbq areas and shaded fishing piers. Oh playground for the kids too. Theirs also a park at the south end past Harrohs, beach, launch, fishing. You can buy fishing lic. at Chevron station I think, one of the stations along the strip. I'm going back in August or September and plan on hitting the dam for strippers.........GT

No I didn't, had plans to go to Prescott for the day, ended up TOOOOO hot for this ole man, 113 degrees. But will take a AM or twilight session on next trip.

Hey guys thought I would chime in. Laughlin / Davis dam / the Colorado River has tons of fish. Just make sure you get the proper license for the area you plan to fish.

Up on lake Mohave you can target small mouth and large mouth bass and there have even been reports of large muskie and waleye. Don't forget the excellent pan fishing.

There are large carp and some trout on the river around the casinos too.
