The weather here is fantastic today. I was all caught up on my studying and my faith obligations so I decided I would put two hours in from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
I was using a Morning Dawn Roboworm on my drop shot rig and I ended up with 6- LMB (most around 2.5 lbs) and 1- Catfish over 3-pounds.
Then I went out a little bit later and tried my luck again from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM and I ended up with 4 more LMB for my efforts while still using a Roboworm on the drop shot rig.
You can sure tell a huge difference between the pre-spawn and the postpone bass in the photos.

11-fish in 3-hrs, I had a fun time and the weather was perfect. Sometimes I think about getting my stuff another float tube, but then I stopped myself because I can shore pound here so easily.
But then on the other hand, if I did buy a Cumberland, I could take it over to Saguaro Lake or over to the Salt River (trout fishing also) for some pretty good Bass fishing over there. It’s just 30 minutes away.
Well, there you have it folks!
It’s really nice having a lake full of fish just 28 feet off the back edge of my back patio!
Here's a first for me! 🤪
So I cast out and I started retrieve my line slowly and I felt it start to go heavy so I started reeling it in. It felt kinda like a fish tugging a little or kinda fighting, but it didn't feel like a normal strike.
Then I realized that I had ended up catching another line out in the water that had a live fish on it!
So I set my stix aside and I hand-lined the fish in, removed the hook from the fish’s mouth (thinking that the fish must’ve felt better at that point), released the fish back into the lake and threw all the fishing line, bait and hook into a nearby trashcan in order to clean up the lake!
