Kid's fishing clinic and Catfish derby

First a big thanks to Vagabond, Flyfishingfool, Casting Call, Pacifico, Waxon67 and RVGadgets and Friend. The day was I feel amazing not with out its issue but all in all it went off with out a hitch. I would also like to say thanks (Bernard) and the City of La Habra for the support, and of course (Sam Edwards) and the OC Parks Department, with whom this whole thing was possible.

The day started off with the news that the DFG made a big mistake with out 600 lb catfish stock, ya that right a mistake the only dumped in 1300 lbs. of catfish so game on. Now next we where unsure of the number we would see at the park. Lets just say I think we needed a few more volunteers. I have a tone of pictures, of the day, but will post a few and let they others that where there post some as well.

Guys this was great and we are planning another one soon, thanks again to our volunteer members that made the day go smooth, and to La Habra and the OC Parks for all there help and support thanks.

Good questions I will try to find that out there was good record kept of the fish caught by the park rangers.

It was great to give back. I would recommend volunteering to any of you that wish to have an impact on fishings' future in California.

Thanks guys I was hoping to just get it off the ground and it was so much more then I thought it was going to be.

this fishing clinic was great. It didn't take long for the kids to hook into a fish which keep them from getting bored and i think everyone there caught something.

Can't wait for the next clinic.

Nice pictures bro what a great day this was.

I had a great time and will definitely be volunteering again. It was great hearing from so many people that came that this was their first time fishing, they had fun and would do it again and I don't think I have ever seen so many walmart and big 5 fishing combos or tied so many palomar knots in one day!
