looked it up just now, it's a bit on the pricey side!Shocked has option of conventional use of a float tube with an optional "rowing" frame. looks nice but for the price I would just buy a "toon from classic accessories.

True on the price I sure could not afford it, but it is pretty cool looking, just my 2 cents

I personally like this one. It looks way more solid. It is $100 more though, but it looks even more solid than a fish cat or ODC.

This is the only boat I've ever used (yes, I have others but this is my go-to). The company is based in Cloverdale, CA and they got their start manufacturing PVC liners for water tanks, and lots of other applications requiring a durable material. My first boat was purchased close to fifteen years ago and saw a ton of use over the next 12 years with no problems. Finally one of the seat hinges broke and I purchased a fix-it kit from the company. I've since retired the original boat to back-up status and got a second one. By my experience the customer service is first rate and the boats comfort, usability, and dependability are the same. The boat is also easily back-packed. Worth the money in my book. KW

Thanks lumpykevlar that is great to know it looks very durable and I really like the over all idea of it. Would really like to talk to these guys someday. salute

lumpykevlar,
Thanks for the review.
Do you have the rowing accessories?

Jerdon,

I've not used the rowing option. While the durability, fit and finish of the boat is top notch, there are clearly bigger, faster and more buoyant craft out there. Here's the deal, if I only fished drive-to lakes where I'm always in sight of my car, I might opt for a bigger boat with more options (rowing, fish finder, hell, you can stand up in some of them). However, what floats my...tube is hiking into smaller and more remote lakes. There are lighter boats out there, but the comfort, dependability and more than decent speed and maneuverability makes me glad I brought it every time.

Just a side note, something I discovered about these craft is the material the pontoons are made of is designed to slowly bleed air. After a couple of days the pontoons need a firming up. KW
