Hey guys rumor is they are going to start stocking lake skinner again with trout this year. anyone know if they ever stock trout in perris in the winter months? scratch

The DFG usually starts dumping trout around Thanksgiving.

Thanks Jerdon, I wasn't sure. now I'm wondering if it's pretty good fishing or if they just become bucketmouth and striper food...

They have not posted it yet , but i have inside info that trout will be dumped thanksgiving week. the last few yrs they stocked the trout on Friday .. we shall see if they keep up that schedule

Yes and yes.
When the truck comes there is an incredible influx of fisherman to the lake, but fishing for the trout is is good. Also, plenty of people chasing the stripers and large bass with their trout imitations. You can see the the big fish chowing on the trout from shore. Sadly, virtually no hold over trout any longer.
