Custom Bass Popper's!

Here's one of my custom bass lures. It's a rattle popper and just needs to have the split rings and the single hooks added to it.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. As I also enjoy all aspects of fishing, making lure's and flies are just another way for me to enjoy this awesome sport of fishing. Here is a Storm lure that I used for pike fishing. I noticed it needed some TLC. So I thought I would introduce it to my airbrush station. A lure that most fishermen would've tossed. Now it will go back to the front lines and battle big Bass as it was meant too. Very nice indeed.

Nice extension of the sport. Although I'm retired I have too many irons in the fire. Never seems to be enough time to do all the things you want to do once you find them.

Is that a Coral snake or a Clown Anemone fish?

I really do not know? I was just trying out some new techniques. Because this popper is the biggest of all the ones I have, I thought it would be easier to try this technique on. And I also wanted to try the Nemo effect.

Nice job, I too used to build jerkbaits and ul crankbaits however I just tie flies nowadays

I bought these popper blanks online, I would like to make them myself. You Tube has some good videos on how to do this , but nothing on making a hollow-body two piece mould. When I put my airbrush stuff away, I'll start tying deer hair popper's. Cheers!

I'm sure you could manage to make some yourself from scratch even if it's just from wood, have a look at your nearest hardware store at paintbrush handles, broom handles etc that way you only have a bit of carving to do as apposed to turning them from scratch on a lathe, some screw eyes and maybe a little bit of ballast and your away. A spook style wtd is simple to make from a broom handle

This is one popper of a set of three that is also for another customer. Still waiting for the coating to dry. I like the silver sparkles on this popper because it gives it that little more detail to it. Another favourite of mine.

Hi jeffcpr! I would have no problem selling my stuff to you and your members. I am wanting to order more top water poppers as well as crank baits that dive from 8 feet to about 30 feet in the different variety's. The postal service here might be going on strike I will know more at the end of the month due (that's the deadline). If this is the case, I also will be in limbo for ordering more supplies and mailing out the orders. So these poppers are being sold from word of mouth right now with feedback soon to come. This info is also being used for setting up my website. As for the price, that will vary on size and pattern used. When I do get my blanks in I'll keep your site in mind and try to do a set for maybe one of your tournaments or toy drives.
