So I made it out for a solo session last Friday, I did not get a chance to share this catch here yet so here it is. I was out at 6am over cast and fishing inside the boats in the harbor. I was using my favorite rig a jika rig combined with a dropshot setup. Today I had on both rigs a zoom fluke about 4" long and I was getting hit left and right over and over again. Some very aggressive bite as well but nothing would stick. It seemed like one of those days, but hay I am in the water that is all that matters. Then I get hit and this one commented to the battle. I have not felt so much anger at the end of my rod in quite a while. This grump pulled line off my reel like he was in change, but I had the upper hand today and made sure that he would not get away. I played it out as look as I could do this one would not get away.

In the end it was a P/B spottie for me measuring 17" and I am sure pushing 3 pounds. He was the only fish for the day but he was week worth the trip and time spent.
