I found this website through facebook and was pretty excited to see fellow float tubers.
I have been float tubing since my first round inner tube Bucks Bag tube back around 1985. Now I have a couple Cumberlands and I love them. All my tubing these days are in the hundreds of lakes in the state that have no access and some don't even have a name. They are usually 10-50 acres. Some may have a house on them. Some I am sure never see an angler besides me. It usually involves spotting them on Google Maps and then finding a road that gets you close... then crash through the brush till you find it and slip in the water.
I have two traditional aluminum boats fully rigged but I have more fun in these float tubes now. The Cumberlands are so incredibly comfortable.
I have three teenagers. If I ask them to go fishing in the boat I may get a luke warm response. If I say we are taking tubes out to a no-access lake...they are all in! Its not just fishing, its an adventure. Plus we nearly always catch some big Bass or Pike in these lakes.
Thanks for this forum and you will be seeing more from me.
