Catch of the Month April 2017

Well, it is time for catch of the month again. Last month was a good month for the board, as in  a lot of fish caught. We had halibuts, sand bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and a host of other specimens.

However, this month Catch of the Month goes to 
joshyouwa.r 
for the only "TURTLE". That's right the turtle wins the month.

Congrat's on your special "catch of the month" entry! WTG!!  

I believe that Sea Turtle is now on my CRP bucket list! Ha ha ha!

I would also like to hear the details on the release .... careful I presume! lol
Was that a Soft Shell or a Snapper?

When I was a young  man .... I landed a good sized snapping turtle in Texas and I ended up cutting the line
because it kept shooting it's head out of it's shell in it's many attempts to bite me!
It had me being very careful ... to say the least.

Hahahaha thank you all very much. Honestly I have no idea what kind of turtle it was except it was very upset at me. I managed to pull it into my board but that turned out to be a bad idea. It was thrashing around with claws and it's jaw so I ended up cutting the line. I was terrified it was going to bite me. It was too close for my comfort and I was almost positive it was going to pop my tube on the way out. 

Needless to say it Sean away happily and my tube lived to fish another day. 

Funny thing is my friend always gives me hell because I always end up catching turtles on accident. 

I am thrilled I made the catch of the month. Thank you all again!
