Does anyone know what kind of lights I would need for fishing in the evening/night?

So far all I can find is that we would need a white light flash light. We are to small and we don't have a motor for the red and green lights. Can anyone confirm this?

As far as i know you just need light. White works well some like red not as hard on the eyes. But the coast guard once said just make aure you are visible at all times.

Jeff is right. You don't need running lights, but you do need to be visible and a white stern light visible for 360 is the recommended deal for kayaks, so I'd say that works for us too.

I use a head lamp and put the loght stick under the strap on the back of my head. Funny thing is sometimes i have it on and i end up packing everything up with a glow stick on the back of my head.

Hey Branders, do you use a light colored line? I've been running moss green PowerPro line and it's invisible to me in the dark. I troll until it gets light enough to see my line for cast and retrieve.

Blues Water LED had a blem sale.  I picked up two blue 12" Water Proof Led light strips (12 vdc) and an on/off switch.  My plan is to wire it into my fish finder battery for low light times.  I usually carry a bucket in the back of my Fat Cat so I can mount them to the bucket for better visibility.

I Gorilla glued Velcro to the bottom of my Adventure Lights- Guardian Dog lights and the other Velcro to my float tube.
I can mount all three colors (red, green and white) at launch or once it becomes dark.

I can add them or remove them at any time and I can store my mini lights in my storage compartments.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Have the best of fun lighting up your float tube.  Thumbs Up

Will do. Just waiting on my 1 to 2 quick connect 2 pin connector so I can plug straight into my fish finder battery when needed.

The Adventure Lights- Guardian Dog lights and additional batteries are available on Amazon.
These were designed to install on your dog's collar for dark hours of walking.
It offers solid beam and or flashing beam lights by simply flipping the battery over. I prefer the solid beam.

No cables, no wires, no heavy batteries.
Just temporary easy Velcro attachments.

So easy and so simple .... and yet it works great!
