Hanging out with Chad from Hookup Baits.

They suggest a double rig as a seeker rig. A good way to see what color the fish might be after.

This last weekend I set up a Donkey rig (double fluke rig) with my Hookup Bait. I was so excited to try it out and on my first cast/troll I hooked into something too big for my 12lb test. My rig failed at the knot and I never got the opportunity to play around with it. I wish I would have brought some swivels with me on the water. I will try again on my next float. It works...ive done it with the hook up baits and killed it in LB.... today i have a double rigger tied up...should be good...

Try the owner 3 way swivels....good stuff

I personally use the Thundermist Lures 3 way swivel, good stuff also

That makes since, I've noticed HU Baits sells 3 way swivels on there website. Do you make one longer than the other or is both leaders the same length?

yeah, it would be best to make one longer, id went 3-4 inches above 1st one about 2 feet leader, if you do the same length, they more than likely will get stuck...

and i shoot out of NPH every wed or thur, come on out...

I think I might do that some time soon. I have been wanting to do an evening session... Wait, are talking about Wed and Thurs in the day or evening?

So the swivel that is on Hookup Baits website is from Owner Hooks and the swear by it. But i think yoi can use a normal 3 way swivel. The line is Floro and like Tony said one is slightly longer. This helps keep them form getting hung up. I will be using this rig soon i am sure of it.
