After today's session, I'm going to have to order at least one pack of these things LOL... what are some other "can't go wrong" colors besides red crab and chovy?

I ended up buying the sardine green and red crab. Figure I fished with the chovy and would try at least red crab since you guys kept talking "red" the whole time haha, as well as another different color too.

BTW: is the medium 1/4" lure generally best to use? I think I recall Jeff mentioning he won't go bigger than that...

Yes, the 1/4 oz is the right size. I have never fished anything else though it's what has been recommended to me 100% of the time with HUBs though. On videos, website and talking.

I will go 3/8th oz. but 1/4oz. works best for me most often. If you have really heavy current you will want something a little heavier.

Thanks guys. I'll stick with 1/4oz for now as that seems to be the sweet spot. I just saw the HUB vids on Youtube where he was recommending 3/8 or 1/4 but mostly 1/4. Then 5/8 outside the bay/inshore.

Do you guys rig these (as well as other similar tube baits) other ways besides using jig heads inside them?

I only rig like we did yesterday but there is awway to rig a donkey rig setup with HUB i will try to share more later.

You know they each come with a jig head right? You don't need to get some to stick in. I just rig it like they have it, palomar knot to the hole

Yeah I realized after looking at them more closely. I figure you can rig them up multiple ways though.

Just received my order today - that was fast! So I thought they were just including a single 1/4oz jighead along with the baits I ordered but they included an entire set of 3 baits! They threw in a sardine green silver. So now I have two sets of sardine green silvers along with a red crab. If anyone wants to trade a pack of sardine green silvers for chovy let me know!

I got my order today as well! I also thought they were going to send a single 1/4" bait but low and behold, I got a 3 pack also!!

I ended up with a Red Crab, NOT complaining but kinda wish it was something that I did not order like a brown or yellow or something to try out. Not a problem though I ended up with 2 red crabs, a glow green and a sardine green. Very happy with the service and the sale.

I received my order as well today.
I purchased the Sardine Green and the Mint in the 3/8oz weight and they threw in a pack of their 1/4oz Sardine Green as well. I like fishing with their product.

I have tied Mint on several times and never got a single bite on it. There must be a certain water color or time of day for it that I just have not figured out yet.
