Fish report from Chandler, Arizona and it’s 73°,
So this evening I stepped down to the lake behind my house, and I threw a 4.25” 5150 worm with a full-curl tail on a drop shot rig with a 10 pound floral carbon leader tied to 30 lb Samurai braided main line using a RP knot.
The standing record on my lake for Catfish has been just under 19 pounds for any type of cat, whether it being a Blue or Channel or a Flathead.
It took me approximately 18 minutes to land this Blue beast, she just would not run out of steam!! She constantly kept peeling my line off the reel at every opportunity!!
I refer to the fish as a her because when I had her on the lawn, she was releasing eggs (roe).
I believe this one to be the “new” Lake
Record at my lake and a PB Catfish for me at 20.88 lbs!!

You can take the fisherman out of the salt, but you can’t take the need for fishing out of the fisherman!!
Two afternoons ago … I landed nine cats, best weighing in at 3.75 lbs and 6 largemouth bass, and best 2 weighed over 3 pounds each.
Well folks … it’s been a li!’ while since I’ve posted a fish report, I hope I did OK.
