So Jeff and I meet up at HH on a windy Sat morning. Jeff has two tubes, the Flatform and the Explorer. I went with the Explorer float tube.

As you can see, a very good looking tube. enlarge the photos and you will be able to see the workmanship put into this product, check the seams. Their is NO cloth stitching seams anywhere. Their are NO bladders, the tube is constructed like an inner tube, wielded seams. Very durable, long lasting. It has two air valves. Pump is included with tube, has an air gauge located at the top of the pump, very nice.

Storage compartments are removable, using Velcro. Plenty of storage. The seat is air filled and removable, Velcro also, which allows you to move the seat forward or back to get the tube level in the water. It has one air valve, filling it with the pump. the seat also has two rod holders on the back. Their are material lopes at the front and rear of the storage areas for D rings.

Their are D rings on the under side for pack straps, included. Only problem they are chrome metal and so are the latched on the pack straps. Could see them rusting in a few years, depending on water and usage.

As far as I can see, it is a very well built tube. My first concern was it looked small and it was. Its narrow for my wide body, but the flotation of my 325 was surprisingly good. It maneuvered well, doing 360's in a tight circle. Seemed to have less drag than my Super Fat Cat too. The apron area seemed small, but it worked. The only drawback was the way the aluminum bar attached to the tube. I had little problem attaching the bar when we pushed off but when we left the park at the bridge I could not get the bar in the holders. That was a big problem, no apron, no place to lay my catch or take a pic or measure my catch. See Photo.

Price $$$, if you want quality u pay........GT

Thanks GT for heading out with me to do these test runs, it was a rough day but we found some fish and it was great that you were able to help me point out the strengths and weaknesses. I am very impressed with the Seven Bass product and despite the few issue, we found I still think they are a very strong boat that will have a place in our Float Tube Fishing World. Good news they want to know what our concerns are as they would like to fix and address these issues over time for use here in the U.S. so they are looking to us for that so lay it out and I will pass it along. My review is coming later today thanks again for your time and help GT.

GT, 225 right?
How was the comfort factor compared to the Super Fat Cat? And how did the storage bags compare to the Fat Cat or Cumberland?

Is the storage just a little less than the Cumberland?
And did you put the tape measure to it, overall length and width?
That is a good looking tube do you think someone that weighs in around 175 would fit it better?
