Hello everyone
I just bought a caddis premier plus float tube. Need help with adding equipment (i.e. fins, waders, rod holders, ) I have been looking at stocking foot waders. So do I need to put something over them before putting fins On? Up here in northern California. Thanks for your help in advance

Welcome Pwdog!

No, you don't wear anything over the stocking feet; they go right into your fins. You will need some sort of shoes over your stocking feet for walking around in them when you're not in the water. Like for hiking from the car to the water.

The neoprene feet in the waders will get beat up pretty easily if you don't wear something to protect them while walking. I wear crocks because they're waterproof and easy to slip into. I stuff them behind the seat of my tube when I'm on the water.

Glad you found us, and feel free to ask questions here any time!

Looking forward to your catch reports!

Welcome Pwdog,
This is a great place to gather info on the floattube. I wear soft boots over my stocking foot waders. I bought some fins big enough to fit over the boot, that way I don't need to take them off at the water.

Enjoy the forum.

If you have strap on fins you should wear something over the neoprene. For slide in fins I still use water shoes that are large enough to fit over the footies.

Thanks Jeff. All I need is fish to be cooperative. Just pick up blade bait. Jigs are cleaned and sharpen.

As for rod holder you can check out cast mate systems but most of use built ours using pvc pipe. Caribineaner clips and bungee cords. The options are endless but be careful it's addictive

Thanks Bobber for info. I was kind of on same track. To build holders myself. Wish I could say I made leaderboard this weekend but just watch my line go out and come back empty. But that's fishing

It's been tough fishing for me for the last 2 weeks. The weather doesn't have a clue to what it is doing or what season it is.

Ain't that the true. Up here had a week and half of 70 degrees. Now won't get past 65, then low 30s at night
