i wouldn't really call this a fishing report but didn't know where else to post this.
after work, had about 40min to kill before i had to go to a family dinner. walked from the hospital to "the rail" in nph
another guy was casting out gulp minnows, pulled in 4 short bass in a couple of hrs.
i threw out a 3" pink hawg shad on a drop shot. used a gamakatsu 1/0 offset worm hook with the shad rigged similar to a texas rig. a few kayakers turned me on the the hawg shad recently which i marinated with some gulp saltwater for 10 sec. worm hook cuts a bit of the movement but cuts the short strikes too. was tossing out from under the bridge towards the harbor.
2nd pitch, hooked up with this
about 13". it was dark, flash on my phone didnt work cause i was on low battery (phone died after this)
hooked up on a 2 more super shorts, left.
5-10 minute walk each way, 20 minutes to fish. nice little treat after work. will probably walk there often during my lunch breaks.
